Long-time owner and Navy veteran Robert Templeton brings 44 years of manufacturing experience to Metadure.  Son Gary Templeton, with almost 30 years experience in defense contracts management and business development, is now in charge of day to day responsibilities at Metadure, and has helped move the company beyond manufacturing to include subcontracting-based and strategic-alliance based programs.  The company has numerous IDIQ and multi-year contracts to fulfill, while it maintains a pipeline of bids and proposals in search of new business.

In May 2008, Metadure spearheaded the proposal activity that resulted in the award of an “FMS Requirements” contract (# W56HZV-08-D-G203) by TACOM utilizing a highly qualified, NATO-approved subcontractor as the manufacturer.  Metadure represents this subcontractor in the U.S. and in select foreign countries for the sale of large commercial/military trailers and superstructures, rail wagons and reset work.  This contract represents a unique collaboration between the parties and many U.S. subcontractors, hired and administered by Metadure.

To date, Metadure has delivered 330 Fuel Tankers to the Afghan National Army, the Iraqi Police and the Government of El Salvador—on time or ahead of schedule.
